Hello blogospheres!
Gosh, it’s April already! 2019 goes so quick. Please slow down a bit.
Well, life’s been hectic enough for us. As you probably know that summer’s finished in this part of the world. We’re entering autumn, though the weather is still a bit warm for autumn I reckon.
Summer sports (rowing and basketball) are done and dusted. Except for swimming, of course, short courses is going to be on soon. Welcome footy (football) for our winter regime🤪
My boys are having two weeks half term break at the moment. We don’t have any plans to go anywhere…yet. Le hubby got a new job so I don’t think he can take time off. We just spent weekend getaway at Rottness Island, 45 minutes ferry ride off Perth. Though the water is little cold for me, it didn’t stop my boys and hubby to swim and snorkel every day while we were on the island.
I’ve been off Instagram for almost a month now. It’s part of my doing for lent this year. Surprisingly I am doing it quiet easy. I don’t feel the urge to have a peep, I don’t think about it. Yes I’m still on facebook, but I don’t use facebook so often and I’m not addicted to FB as I’m to Instagram.
I feel like my life is free from toxicity 😃 Though I have to admit I miss posting shots of my lovely green buddies 🌱 🌿💚 I miss posts from my plants accounts, and some bloggers. But I do not miss any postings from some people I know in my city’s circle. I feel even glad not knowing what they are up to! Weird huh.
Off Instagram really put me in a new perspective of life. That there are more important and valuable things in real life that matter. So, when I finish my own challenge, I will try to use my Instagram wisely 😜 I won’t scroll on it until my thumb is numb🤪
What about you? Have you tried taking time off from any social media? Or have you challenged yourself to do something out of your comfortable zone? If you do, what’s the impact in yourself/your life?
Before I end this post, here are a bit of pictures from our life lately if you’re interested to see. Otherwise, see you in another post!
