[ sunday baking ] easy peasy banana bread

IMG_1378

Well, pretty sure all of you know how to make this bread. It’s pretty easy and the failure level is zero ๐Ÿ™‚ Today after Sunday surf life competition (again) at the beach, as usual my kids were hungry and craving for something sweet. Lucky I have couple almost too ripe bananas so I just quick mixed everything and voila my monkeys are happy and full.

The good thing about this recipe is you don’t need a fancy mixer, just a fork to whisk the egg and wooden spoon to mix the batter ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s the recipe if you would like to try:

Ingredients:
2-3 very ripe bananas, peeled
1/3 cup melted butter
3/4 of sugar or 1/2 cup if you want it less sweet
1 egg, beaten
1 tspn vanilla extract
1 tspn baking soda
Pinch of salt
11/2 cups of all purpuse flour

Method:

Pre-heat the oven to 180C and butter a loaf pan.

In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.

Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour, check at 50 minutes, or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from oven and cook completely on a rack. Remove the banana bread from the pan. Slice and serve.

  5. Ria, mau nanya. Itu tepungnya apa ya? Duh maap banget ya masih buta masalah pertepungan jadi nanya mulu :D. Trus pertanyaan kedua gulanya musti gula bubuk atau gula biasa aja bisa? *ini ceritanya aku sudah ada niatan bikin kue haha

    1. Hi Den, tepungnya aku pake tepung biasa aza all purpose flour kalo disini bilangnya. Gulanya pake gula biasa aza, kalo pake caster sugar dikurangin dikit biar ga terlalu manis. Aku pake raw sugar sama dgn gula biasa tapi kadar manisnya ga sebanyak gula biasa. Happy baking Den, gampang banget koq si banana bread ini tingkat kegagalannya juga zero๐Ÿ˜€
