Well, pretty sure all of you know how to make this bread. It’s pretty easy and the failure level is zero ๐ Today after Sunday surf life competition (again) at the beach, as usual my kids were hungry and craving for something sweet. Lucky I have couple almost too ripe bananas so I just quick mixed everything and voila my monkeys are happy and full.
The good thing about this recipe is you don’t need a fancy mixer, just a fork to whisk the egg and wooden spoon to mix the batter ๐
Here’s the recipe if you would like to try:
Ingredients:
2-3 very ripe bananas, peeled
1/3 cup melted butter
3/4 of sugar or 1/2 cup if you want it less sweet
1 egg, beaten
1 tspn vanilla extract
1 tspn baking soda
Pinch of salt
11/2 cups of all purpuse flour
Method:
Pre-heat the oven to 180C and butter a loaf pan.
In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour, check at 50 minutes, or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from oven and cook completely on a rack. Remove the banana bread from the pan. Slice and serve.
Hope you all have a good and relax Sunday!
